What is Therapy?
Working with Kath is a collaborative process that supports you in understanding yourself, your emotions, and patterns of thinking and behaviour. Kath provides a safe and confidential space to explore challenges, build insight, and develop new ways of coping.
Change is central to this process. Therapy encourages reflection and growth, and Kath can help you move towards a more adaptive and fulfilling way of living. At times, therapy can feel challenging, as it often involves confronting difficult emotions, memories or long-held beliefs. However, through this process of change and challenge, Kath can support you to develop self-compassion, and lasting personal transformation.
During the first few sessions, Kath will spend some time getting to know you and what has prompted you to come to therapy. This information will help Kath structure her approach and will help her get a clear understanding of your strengths. The first few sessions are also an opportunity for you to get to know Kath, and see if you feel comfortable working with her. After you and Kath have established some clear goals, she will discuss with you some options as to how you might work together, including how frequent appointments could be.
